I came across this poem this week. It's called A Liturgy for: Cleaning Up and it's from a book called Liturgies for the Little Years — and the first lines almost did me in: "God, is it true? Can anything be done for you? Do you look upon my work within this home, tidying up messes, picking up clothes, and truly think 'I care about that'?" And then: "You say you do." I read that standing in my kitchen with dishes in the sink and I just stopped. Because how many times have I moved through the ordinary work of my home feeling completely unseen? Like it doesn't count? And here is this little prayer reminding me that it does. That I can offer it. That the whole point isn't to clean until I find relief at the end, it's to seek Him in the midst. "You, Lord, are my peace, and here right now, I have all that I need."

You know the Sunday Slowdown, but welcome to the Saturday Bloom.

Here on Substack I’m bringing you the Saturday Bloom. I love to ask my girls the rose (highlight) and thorn (challenge) of their days and here, I want to share the things that contribute to my “rose” of the week. Each week I’ll share 5 quick recs in 5 easy categories:

B: bites L: listening O: Outfit O: Ordered M: Mindset.

I would love to hear your BLOOM of the week too!

My current lunch fixation is a chicken ceasar wrap. Like, I’m kind of obsessing about it. This is a great recipe for dinner or for lunch prep.

The best Chicken Caesar Wraps recipe is fresh, healthy, and ready in only 15 minutes!
