The calendar says spring, my heart says nesting, and my body says "please stop moving so much." 😅

As I enter these final precious days before our little boy joins us earthside, I find myself in this beautiful liminal space—part anticipation, part nostalgia, all wonder.

Since this is likely my last pregnancy, I'm trying to memorize every sensation: the way he responds to music with little kicks, how my older girls press their cheeks against my belly to feel their brother move, even the uncomfortable waddle that has become my signature walk. There's poetry in these moments if we slow down enough to notice.

Spring feels like the perfect backdrop for this transition—the world reawakening just as we prepare to welcome new life. I'm finding small pockets of joy in the simplest things: arranging tiny clothes in drawers, watching daffodils push through the soil, feeling the warmth of sunshine on my face during afternoon walks.

This week's newsletter is a collection of things bringing me comfort and inspiration during this waiting season. I hope they bring a moment of peace to your Saturday as well.

With a full heart (and an even fuller belly), Emily

You know the Sunday Slowdown, but welcome to the Saturday Bloom.

Here on Substack I’m bringing you the Saturday Bloom. I love to ask my girls the rose (highlight) and thorn (challenge) of their days and here, I want to share the things that contribute to my “rose” of the week. Each week I’ll share 5 quick recs in 5 easy categories:

B: bites L: listening O: Outfit O: Ordered M: Mindset.

I would love to hear your BLOOM of the week too!

I’m sorry but sometimes you just need a meatball sub ok?? You can make these as complex or as simple as you like, but for me this week, it’s all about Rao’s sauce, hoagies from the bakery, and frozen meatballs baby.
