Saturday Bloom ☁️
the bites, listening, outfits, orders, and mindset that made my week joyful.
May is a marathon.
Somewhere between April 30th and June 1st, the calendar becomes a game of Tetris that I, at least, am definitely losing. Graduations. End-of-year parties. Teacher Appreciation Week. Field days. Spring concerts. Birthday parties (so many birthday parties)!
Every year I tell myself I’m going to pace it differently. Protect a weekend. Not arrive at June feeling like I crossed a finish line I didn’t train for.
And every year, May happens to me anyway.
Here’s the reframe though: all of this chaos is just a lot of people being celebrated at once. Milestones stacked on milestones. Loud, expensive, logistically exhausting, and worth every bit of it.
Bring the grocery store cake. Be five minutes late. Show up anyway.
You know the Sunday Slowdown, but welcome to the Saturday Bloom.
Here on Substack I’m bringing you the Saturday Bloom. I love to ask my girls the rose (highlight) and thorn (challenge) of their days and here, I want to share the things that contribute to my “rose” of the week. Each week I’ll share 5 quick recs in 5 easy categories:
B: bites L: listening O: Outfit O: Ordered M: Mindset.
I would love to hear your BLOOM of the week too!
It’s May and we are UNDERWATER at the Karst household so we are all about girl dinner lately! Here are some of my favorite finds for spring at Trader Joe’s that would make the perfect fixings for girl dinner vibes
I’m throwing a mega pirate party for my sweet girl, turning 4, and I’ve found the best Amazon finds! If you’re planning any summer parties and you need an easy/aethetic/cost effective theme - look no further!
